In 2012, Brianne West, CEO & Founder, started Ethique in her kitchen, where she began experimenting with solid shampoo bars. From those humble beginnings, we now offer over 100 products in our range!

Our Mission

At Ethique, we are on a mission to revolutionize the cosmetics industry and regenerate our planet through our business practices. A key part of our mission is to help rid the world of single-use plastic bottles.

Regeneration Stats

As of 2021, Ethique has saved over 20 million single-use plastic bottles from being produced or ending up in landfills around the world. We have also conserved over 3 million gallons of water and planted over 350,000 trees. And this is only the beginning!

Small changes in product size and weight can lead to lower carbon emissions. That's why we created Compact by Design, to identify products with a more efficient design that require less packaging and are more efficient to ship. These small differences in product size and weight can lead to significant carbon emission reductions at scale.

Volumizing Shampoo Bar

Give life, volume, and bounce to fine or flat hair with our Sweet & Spicy Volumizing Shampoo Bar. It produces a great lather and includes nourishing ingredients such as fairly traded cocoa butter and Samoan coconut oil, which soften and revive hair without weighing it down. This bar is also plastic-free and packaged in recyclable, home-compostable packaging.

Save Money & the Planet

Each shampoo bar lasts at least 80 washes, equivalent to three bottles of liquid shampoo. To use, simply stroke the bar down wet hair and it will lather! Not only will you save money, but you'll also be contributing to our planet's health.

Our products are formulated using vegan, cruelty-free, palm oil-free, paraben-free, and renewable ingredients. These ingredients are sourced from sustainable producers who are paid a fair wage, ensuring that our products are both ethical and environmentally sustainable.
